torque at pipe flanges
With the aid of flanges pipe sections can be easily connected and disconnected. Figure 1 is a Model of a pipe flange. The flange is mounted on one side and is on the other side claimed by a specific torque. Figure 2 shows the stresses and the deformations. In Figure 3 additional pressure distribution between the pipes is shown.
