I- Beam under force effects

I-beams are steel structures and are often used in materials handling applications such as cranes. They are distinguished by their good connectivity and a high load capacity.
In the pictures below, the stress distribution (fig. 1) and deformations (fig. 2) are displayed in an I-beam. In this example, the I- profile is on the right side firmly clamped and the left seems an external load, bending the component. The highest deformation mainly takes place in the vicinity of the force instead (f
